Green House Trees?
So, I've got my greenhouse all nicely set up. And recently put some trees in it. I planted them at the start of year 2 winter, Its now year 4 winter, about to start year 5 and They still arn't producing better quality fruit. The 3 I have outside (got them in year one before I had the green house) are producing the correct qulity fruit for their age.
I can't find any info on it on the wiki, anyone else expiranceing this?

Couuuld be a balancing thing. Since trees in greenhouse produce all year round.

I planted fruit trees outside in year 2 and by year 5 they were still producing normal quality fruit. I planted trees in the greenhouse in year 4, too early to get anything but normal quality.

I've read that fruit trees supposedly give better quality as they get older, but I haven't seen that in my game.

Oh, I missread the part. My apologies.

I just checked the wiki and according to the 1.1 update, fruit trees should increase in quality each year after maturation by 1. Odd.

Yeah, I thought it was odd too. I was hoping the trees in the greenhouse would behave as the wiki claims, but I just haven't played that save long enough. I'm thinking of starting a new game on a different farm map, so I'll probably never know.

I was going to ask that. Is your current save pre-1.1?
Nope, I actually purchased on the release day of 1.1 or somewhere near it. I try and avoid buying pre-alpha games unless I am ABSOLUTELY sure that they arn't going to nose dive.
I'm going to do some save editing and see if I can find any values that seem wrong.

Pre-alpha? When Stardew Valley was released on Steam it was the 1.0 version. o_O

No. I started it last month. Definitely after 1.1.

I forgot where I saw it, but if there's anything placed/growing under them, they won't age in quality.

Friend of mine had it dead early, I use Pre-Alpha as a general term for pre-release with the current culture of 'beta' isn't beta.

There's nothing under them, they were planted and grown with all the plants in the same place they are now.

Not all the trees in my greenhouse were planted at the same time, so I don't actually know if I'm having any of that issue, but most of them are producing silver star fruit now. In fact, one of them should be getting to gold star soon. I had an apple outside for about a year and a half and it produced silver as well before I cut it down for space.

So its a bug/glitch/error. right.

That may be it. I always place a path around them after they are full grown to prevent weeds and such from appearing during the seasons change.

Greenhouse, No weeds in the greenhouse.

I was talking about the trees in my game, the ones outside that I mentioned earlier which over 3+ years have only produced normal quality fruit. I'm aware there are no weeds or rocks or branches spawning in the greenhouse.
