I've read that fruit trees supposedly give better quality as they get older, but I haven't seen that in my game.
Oh, I missread the part. My apologies.
I just checked the wiki and according to the 1.1 update, fruit trees should increase in quality each year after maturation by 1. Odd.
Yeah, I thought it was odd too. I was hoping the trees in the greenhouse would behave as the wiki claims, but I just haven't played that save long enough. I'm thinking of starting a new game on a different farm map, so I'll probably never know.
I was going to ask that. Is your current save pre-1.1?
I'm going to do some save editing and see if I can find any values that seem wrong.
Pre-alpha? When Stardew Valley was released on Steam it was the 1.0 version. o_O
No. I started it last month. Definitely after 1.1.
There's nothing under them, they were planted and grown with all the plants in the same place they are now.
That may be it. I always place a path around them after they are full grown to prevent weeds and such from appearing during the seasons change.
I was talking about the trees in my game, the ones outside that I mentioned earlier which over 3+ years have only produced normal quality fruit. I'm aware there are no weeds or rocks or branches spawning in the greenhouse.
