Casino odds?

anyone know the odds for the slots or calicojack? i went on a day where the fortune teller said i had really good luck or something and playing calicojack, everytime i get to 13 and hit, i get a 9 and bust, and if i stand on anything less than 20, the house always gets 20 or 21

as for the slots, i spent 1500 coins and didn't win, not even once.
I know the house is supposed to win in casinos or whatever, but this is to the extent that you can't win anything so why bother playing? its not even fun doing the slots and you will never win.

well with good luck i lost 1500 coins without a single win, so id say dont bother on slots anyway

I did the casino for 20 minutes yesterday. Bought 100 tokens, played until I could afford the hat and rarecrow, and then stopped. Never plan on going back.

Slots are rigged to win if you follow a basic order;
- Bet 10 until you get any kind of win.
- Bet 10 again because you're guaranteed to lose.
- Bet 100 because you'll win this time.
- Bet 10
- Bet 100
- Bet 10
- Bet 100

This win/lose/win/lose pattern will alternate for a while. Eventually one of your guaranteed wins will be a lose. Only Bet 10 and after a dozen or so losing spins, you'll get a win and the cycle will begin again. You're guaranteed to make more than you use, and since time doesn't pass when you're on the slots, it only takes one 'day' to do and doesn't cost you a season.

so i went back to the casino, bought 1,000 coins then played the high roller table for calico jack, one 30k tokens without losing a single game. dunno if it was a fluke or the odds are better but the high roller table gave me enough tokens to by everything i could from the casino.

May have figured out at least one way to crack Calico spin. Setting was summer 22, year 2, sunny weather. TV said spirits are in good humor and I ate spicy eel for extra luck (weather forecast for tomorrow was storm but I doubt that matters). I used the top right calico spin machine and then figured out the following rhythm (though might be this works with other settings as well, haven't tried that):

After eleven misses you will get two hits (usually either three parsnips or two cherries and then another cherry) sometimes another cherry after that but not always. Let's call this a round.
So a round goes like:
Miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss hit hit (sometimes another hit, if it's a miss then this is where a new round starts)

Sometimes you will get three symbols (not parsnips!) instead of your eleventh miss. There may or may not be a rhythm to this as well. As soon as it happens for the first time it will usually happen every third round but this seems to be inconsistent too. The only thing you can really rely on is to get two hits after eleven misses (or spins, depending on whether or not your eleventh miss is a hit).

So a quick way to make money is to bet in the following order:
10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 100 100 10 (if the last 10g is a miss then consider this the first 10g of the new round, if it is a hit then it's the last 10g of the current round)

Update: Tried this again two days later, no extra luck from food plus TV said the spirits are very displeased today. Still get eleven misses and then two hits, sometimes three. So, I guess this is the way to go?
