Stardew Valley

Statistiche:
PLEASE fix your game on xbox!
Yes, I know this is the steam forums. Will you fix your game, I am so sick and tired of doing a hard days work and like just now, got a whole cache of amazing loot, going to bed and the damn game crashes to desktop and losing the whole days progress. If this was once or twice it be fine but its all the damn time. I held out on buying this on steam while it was on sale because it was coming to console, I didnt get it on ps4 since the store didnt show it and got the more expensive version so I cab play on a big screen in bed, I expect it to work.

Bugs, glitches fine but constantly losing days progress at save is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous

I have read that, on Xbox 1, going to sleep on day three will crash your game.

According to the creator of Stardew Valley, ConcernedApe, you are to set your language to a totally different one, then go back to English.

I haven't had any issues, though.

Yeah I read that though though he states it needs to be set to english, which it is. It has happened twice since my op and its bordering on unplayable. If it were early access id be fine, but its not.

Ive lost so much ♥♥♥♥ because of this and its frustrating as this is the only game thats taking my mind off my cats death but I dont want to play it like this, its unacceptable that this has been happening since release with no hotfix.

Its not day 3 for me im at the end of winter but its happened on the 24, 25 and 27th today and random days all through the seasons.

Great. So I cant play untll they decide to roll it out because im on the 28th of year 1. He should get his money back from the 3rd party who ported this because its literally unplayable.
It hasn't been a year since the PC release, and it doesn't seem that CA expected it to be this big of a success and so he and Chucklefish likely didn't make plans to have someone port it for consoles until well after the PC release. So Sickhead--which doesn't seem like a big company, although I maybe wrong--had what, 6-7 months maybe to port this for a clearly rushed pre-Xmas release? Sorry you spent money on a broken port, but welcome to gaming. This. Happens. All. The. Time.

No it doesn't, it happens all the time on PC gaming, it rarely happens at ALL on console games. If on the od occasion it does you get a day one patch. There are zero excuses for whatever when you start to charge money for it with the exception of early access titles.

Yes, I know this is the steam forums.

The game has ONE developer: Concerned Ape. He isn't going to read your message here. The console version just got released, he's going to be VERY busy.

If you want him to actually hear your complaint/issue, you need to help him out and present it in a forum that'll actually reach him. If you post here, the odds of him seeing your message is very, very low.

There's his twitter feed: https://twitter.com/ConcernedApe?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

There's also the Support forum on the Chucklefish site: http://community.playstarbound.com/forums/stardew-support/

Each subsequent post makes you sound more naive. Please go back to the kids table.
When the game first launched on PC here CA spent the first week constantly stamping out tiny fires as they sprang up, I recall he'd respond to and acknowledge most bugs and glitches within a few hours of them cropping up and hotfix them within the day. After the gamebreaking ones were all fixed he went right into requested content patches, and kept at it for quite a while.

All but one of the bugs I'm aware of aren't detrimental to the games' ability to progressively run, with the sole exception being the shop stacking bug that locks you into the buying menu if you buy something with no room to place it in your inventory (which I haven't actually encountered in a while, come to think of it)- the rest are simply exploitable playarounds you can use to your advantage. Those are understandably less of a priority to fix, but such exploits in this game have been addressed and patched out in the past and will probably continue to be as CAs' schedule clears up.

The console verisons have only been out for a couple of days, and without the public beta period available to PC there's bound to be a few more of the annoying, detrimental bugs that are a bit harder to immediately respond to, but so far he's been demonstrating the same diligence in acknowledgement that he did with the PC release. I'm sure there'll be a patch within the next week or so. My condolences for your inconvenience, and wellwishes for such inconvenieces to end.

Welcome to the forums, by the way.

Nope, its called experience. With over 300 games on my ps4 120 on xbone, I can tell you now, its only common on pc. In fact, its only really common on steam, why? Because we have users like you who and the guy above who make excuses for developers. Firstly, this game was ported by a 3rd party so the whole "its one developer" flies out the window, secondly, I dont care how many there is the minute they sell a non early access title for cash.

Well I agree somewhat but beta isnt limited to pc, and as I said it was a third party that ported this so ill assume theres more than one. Regardless it wasnt even properly tested by them since this is an issue for everyone, or at least a ton of people that isnt just a bug but completely halts progress. Basically purchasing a product that doesnt work isnt acceptable. I mean people complained about error 37 on d3 but that was fixed within the first day and people still bring it up as examples. Is it acceptable when this happens? No its not but its more and more common these days because why bother to make sure its all working when you got whiteknight for you and defend your product without having to hire a pr team. But regardless, pc is slightly more acceptable because of the millions of different configurations, but theres only one for console.

I half agree with you. I'd suggest keeping on with the good points about what you should expect when buying something vs the companies responsiblity to provide a quality product and to stop adding in ridiculous stuff like "consoles don't have bug" (When every wiki ever has icons for all three mediums in their bugs section) and blaming "whiteknights" (who I am usually annoyed by as well) for business seeking to cut corners and lower costs wherever possible.

I hope it gets fixed soon for you, I know back when I had a 360 it took beth like 3 months to patch out the annoying as bug where you's have to wear a sepcific cowboy hat to access new veags after you cleaned out the gmabling tables at the casinos. That ♥♥♥♥ sucked royally.

I didnt say they dont have bugs, (even in op instated bugs are fine) im a pc gamer so im use to them, I said they dont get broken ports, and for good reason, sony / MS have a much stricter policy, partly why mods arent on there usually (yes exceptions like FO4) because they can break games, secondly and most importantly, they only need to optimise for one configuration unlike a pc which can ultimately have millions, from hardware to OS to software. Also I dont think you can expect to buy any bethesda product without there being bugs, but I have never seen a game on a console that flat out not work. People shouldnt defend this behaviour as I think its why steam has gone down in quality control over the years because people vote for ♥♥♥♥ on greenlite cos is it memes, and others defend broken stuff. Being indie doesnt make you immune either, the second you charge cash then youre open to critism. Im speaking generally not aimed at this developer, though is he responsible? Yes to some degree but the fault lies with the 3rd party and ms / sony for thier slow checking process, regardless, im sure he made a ton of money looking at the amount of sales, if its too much work for one person then hire more. This isnt early access. Afaik its been fixed, at least on sonys side, still waiting on xbox.

Sorry for grammar but im typing on kindle and it sucks and im too lazy to correct it unlike when im on pc :p it gets annoying having to delete every other word because it decides to put a v as a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ space while spacing outveach letter if you type to fast. Do not recommend.
