Palm Fossil

I am having the most difficult time trying to find a palm fossil. It's THE LAST thing out of EVERYTHING to find. I have checked the dessert, forest, and beach on lucky days with added lucky lunches. I have found more Prismatic Shards! Anything else I can try to try and find a palm fossil?

I just found one in my current game. I think it was in town and on one of those worms spots. I still haven't found a prismatic shard though, and I'm in summer year 3. :(

It's pretty rare, but not TOO rare... I've gotten 3 on one playthrough. The best way to farm artifacts is to try fishing with the appropriate bobbers/bait on a lucky day...

Spend 25k on a lava katana, then you'll find a prismatic shard the next day >.>

I just started year 8 and I don't have a palm fossil. :(

I personally think the low frequency of artifact spots combined with the chance of finding some of these artifacts makes it pretty difficult to find all the museum pieces. It can take days in my game for new artifiact spots to spawn and even then I'm lucky if there's one in a particular location. It's rather aggravating to wait a week, spend 500g to go to the desert and find only one artifact spot. I don't know if CA intended it to be this difficult, but it is.

I do fish for treasure too, but it's a bit nuts. many days I fish I end up catcing multiples of the same artifact,even though I try fishing in different locations. Nothing seem to encourage drops for things I haven't found yet.

There should be a mod to address that. Cause grinding for one last missing item is really really stupid and not fun.

Maybe a mod that increases the chances of getting something you are missing, and lowering the chances of things you have in stock... the more you have in stock of a thing the less chances of getting it again.

How hard is modding in this game?

I wish the Wizard sold like, spells or charms that lasted a season.

Like.
50 solar essence and 10k - teleports you to your farm when health reaches 0.
5 diamonds and 10k - increased chance of finding new artifacts.

I have found 3 palms, one in the beach, 2 in the forest, in worm spawns. The loot is pre-seeded when it spawns, so luck does nothing. Winter + Tracker is the best time to do worm hunting. Good luck!

Prismatic shards is super easy to get once you have money. Buy tons of stone and bombs and go deep in Skull Cavern. Watch some youtube videos if you don't know how to dive deep - you can get dozens of shards in one run, just need to spend money to do so! Buying a lot of Omnis and breaking them all will also likely get you a couple - but again, takes lots of money.

I've been searching for a Skeletal Hand every day for over a year now, digging the mines and every worm on the entire map on a daily basis and even fishing now and then. I'm pulling my hair out and starting to wonder if they actually exist. If I could buy one for 50 million g I could and would!

It is rare drop from worms in... Don't remember, but wiki sais beach, desert and forest. It drops nowhere else.
Basically all you can do:
1. Plow worms on beach every day then sleep right away. Desert requires 500g, if you don't care then add it too; forest is large and worms barely spawn there so not worth effort.
2. Mod game (there is a mod which makes worms more common) or outright cheat.

Found one from about 150+ omni geodes opened.
Found several from each mining run for iridium with bombs on lvl 300+ skull cave. You don't need a sword there, but it sure helps.
Never seen one from monster.
I'd suggest trying to go for iridium ore nodes from my experience.
