I think that's true, but it's still profitable. The wine is worth more than a gold star grape. The amount of extra profit is just less than with a normal grape. Preserves are worth more too (than a gold star grape).

However, if you spent money (or sap) to create fertilizer, it doesn't make sense to through high quality fruit into wine or preserve barrels. For produce I intend to use in kegs or barrels I don't use fertilizer. Or, I sell the high quality stuff and save the normal quality for artisan goods.

Yeah i was using fertilizers for quality for a long time, but just noticed that the price doesn't change. Meaning the wine is the same with quality grape or crap grap, which doesn't make sens at all.

I guess for things like pumpkin speed grow is better than quality fertilizers. Quite a bit of loss for using the wrong fertilizer all this time. Live and learn!

Common strategy is to sell gold star, turn no-star into wine or jelly.

Silver is up to you. I usually keep as a "just in case", like if I have 60 no-star but 64 kegs, I'll put 4 silver star in to finish the batch.
