Can I delete and come back?

Stardew Valley is a little too great! I need to get it off my computer for a while, but I'm afraid if I delete the game from my Applications folder, my progress will go with it. I'm on a Mac, if it matters. A total noob question, to be sure, but I don't game very much (obviously). Thanks!

I don't know 100%, but if you delete any of the valve games it keeps your progress.

You could do a backup of the game
Or Copy the game Files

There's Steam Cloud, so yes, but just to be safe I'd make a manual backup of the saves.
