Add an alarm clock. The player can set it for 6am, and get all their chores done by 9, when the shops open... Or they can wake up at 9am, and stay up until 5am.
But regardless, you do need sleep at SOME point. 2am is just because, you wake up at 6am... Your poor guy needs at least 4 hours.
the box you put stuff to sell in.. over night it will come a screen that show you what you earned. the box beside your house. 4 times out of 10 that doesnt show for me. like at all. i can sleep for 4 days and it still dont show up. so the stuff i put in there, i lose that money instead of selling it in the store.
i dont care if it gave me a 10 hour warning, 2 in the morning when time and day slips by so fast is boring as hell. you feel stressed all the time instead of enjoying the game in your own phase.
Considering you start at 6am going all the way to 2am you already have 20 hours your character has only 4 hour of sleep if you take max time and if you remove the need for sleep you can stay awake forever using the spring/food
Doesnt help all too much but means you can stay out a little bit longer and start running back home at 1:30 to 2:00 am and not pass out.
Ofcourse this is all null if they changed it but I havent done this in a long time so idk.
Edit: Also look into mods that increase available time.
