Suddenly blurred resolution // less details
Hi guys!

The game suddenly shows less pixels than before. Now everything seems kinda... blurred and zoomed in. (like... the edges aren't sharp anymore. You see a lot less details: e.g. no sharp outlines of leafs etc.) I have no idea how and why that happened. I didn't change the settings. I just logged in and now there seems to be less pixels. I'm very confused about that because it was fine this morning.

Maybe someone has a solution for me or had the same problem?

Thanks!

I've got a theory about this, but you'll need to edit your save file to attempt this fix. Here's how you do it:

1) Open the save-game folder. (It's in %APPDATA%/StardewValley/Saves)
2) Make a copy of your save game and put it somewhere safe, just in case.
3) Open the main save file in Notepad (or preferably Notepad++, it really helps)
4) Search for the word "zoomlevel". You should see something that looks like "<zoomlevel>X</zoomlevel>", where X is some number.
5) Change X to "1" (without the quotes)
6) Save the file, and play.

Please let me know if it worked, and if it does, please also let me know what X was before you changed it!

Hello there!

Thank your for your suggestion. I'm honestly not quite sure if it really worked out. (The number was 0.75) ... Well I do hope that I'm not imagining things...

Hmmm. It's 0.75 for me also (that's the number for maximum zoom-out, 1 is for maximum zoom-in). I thought you'd find some really weird number there, like 0.749692 or something like that, meaning the zoom level was off by a just little and that that was causing a scaling issue.

In any case, I hope it worked.

Yeah no weird number here... but I think everything is fine now. (Yesterday I also had some really unusual graphic bugs.) So far everything works.
