It's really hard to do this because I digged down to level 50, and I've only seen 3 rock crabs so far.

(They won't let me into the adventure guild unless I finish this quest)

just keep going through the mines or go back through the levels.

That enemy only appears in lvls 1-29, so repeat them till you get it

Fortunately, you can ignore that quest until you actually need to enter the Adventurer's Guild.

You can keep going deeper into the Mines for now, and rush through early levels and quickly kill Crabs when you do need to enter the Guild.

Yeah about grinding through the top levels again: My time is short, I only go into the mines when it rains.
Also I'd like to get into the guild to buy better gear.

I would recommend against that.

The weapons in the Guild are very expensive. You don't need a good weapon to reach level 90, at which point you get one that's more than good enough to complete the Mines.

Buying from the Guild is almost always a huge waste of gold.

Then again... What else are you going to do with your money by that point? Think of it in the same way as folks who buy all of the DLC in Train Simulator. It's fun for them, even if spending almost $7,000 of real money on a computer game is mind boggling to most of us. At least this is only in game money. If it seems fun for you then have at it!!! :-)

So far I'm not the happiest with the equitment that I'm finding in treasure chests.
But I'm at level 80 now, and I see some rock crabs again.
Maybe I get to the goal before I get to the bottom.

At this point I learned to live with it and just wodner what caused this bug.
I have no mods installed or anything like that.

Also: I found sooo many glowing golden rigns and I can't sell them anywhere >.>

The whole thing where you have to kill ten Rock Crabs instead of Slimes appears to be a fairly common bug. Happened to me once and I haven't started many new games; in multiple of these, I didn't even mine at all.

Like I said, you'll get a major upgrade on level 90. Even if you do unlock the Guild now, you're already on level 80, it'd be a huge waste to buy a very expensive weapon that you'll be replacing almost immediately.

Ok so I think my save is F'd up.
I by now killed about 10 rock crabs, but it still says 3/10 rock crabs killed in the quest.

(Or are there different kinds? They all look the same - red rock with a pink crab inside)

There are two different kinds.

The quest requires Rock Crabs. You seem to have been killing Lava Crabs.

Yeah I'm going to invest a whole day in goign to the lower levels and hunting them.
Then I also can finally finish the quest to meet everybody.

I think the bug is caused by killing a rock crab before a slime. Because only slimes spawn in the first few floors of the mines, I think, so the game just assumes the first monster you kill will be a slime. Could be wrong.

To be honest, the game still has quite the amount of bugs for being out os long and being on Switch now.

Like that big rock that blocks the way to the railways and the spa just disappeared.
I chose to buy a Joja Market membership, but I didn't invest in any of the town improvements they offer. Then at some point in summer 1, I realized the rock was gone, and now I can just go up there.

Also I still get "you already have given X two presents this week" when I didn't gave that perosn anything that week, or I get "You already gave X a present today" when I didn't.

But only the rock crab thing is really having any impact on my experience.

The rock goes away without you investing in the Joja Mart or Community Center. What you describe is normal. There is a night where you hear a rumbling after going to bed and the rock is removed.
