Dude, where's my dog?
I started a new game the other day and my dog has yet to show up. Doesn't sleep in the house during the rain. Never drinks water out of his bowl. I have literally never seen him once.

Is this a bug? Has anyone had this happen? Can I fix it? What effects will not having a dog have on my game? Should I just restart while it's early? So many questions...

There are multiple conditions that you must meet to get the event where Marnie shows up with your pet.

Among others, you have to have earned 1,000g or more and it has to be sunny.

Okay. I'm mostly concerned with where my dog went and why he never showed up in my game.

Oh, seriously? I could have sworn the last time I played the dog was there since day one. Was that ever the case or am I just remembering wrong? I have 0 recollection of being offered a dog. Just pick cat or dog in the beginning and it being there.
