Immunity?

I found some thermal boots with 1 defense and 2 immunity,but my tundra boots have 2 defend and 1 immunity,what do i choose?

For me, the defence, but, neither are particularly large bonuses.

Defense is a statistic that affects how much damage the player takes. While immunity is a statistic that affects your chance to be afflicted with a status ailment when hit with a debuffing projectile (such as the jinx shots used by the Shadow Shaman).

Personally I find defense to be the only useful stat; even a couple less damage means eating less per mine/skull cavern trip. The debuffs are so mild and so short that Immunity is non-issue.

I'd take the defence. There's only like 2 debuffs anyways, getting slimes and the shadow shaman defence reduction.
