I think I found a secret!

In Pelican Town, next to the bridge by Jojo Mart, a strange circular light (that didn't appear to be caused by any street lights or buildings) appeared at 8 pm. I tried placing a rarecrow in the circle and then went by the community center, to see if anything changed, and noticed that the fence by the bottom had two more lights. I placed a rarecrow in each of the additional circles, and another one appeared by the fountain. The surrounding areas seemed to be glitched (the lighting was messed up). I went into the community center and went back out and then there was a solid circle (the lighting glitch seemed to have left). I placed another rarecrow in the circle, but couldn't find anymore, if they appeared. I didn't have all the rarecrows, so I couldn't place them in the correct order (ascending 1-8). I'm wondering if that was the issue. If you have all of them, try seeing if you can find anything let me know if you do.

I believe that's a firefly glitch, where they disappear and only show the light... but hey, you might be on to something. The last time secret hunting was in full force I don't think anything came of any of the various light patches around Stardew, there's one on the beach in a certain season as well.

That would make sense. If you have all of the rarecrows, we should both investigate this.

i didnt know fireflys came out in the rain though..

I do have all the scarecrows in my current game... and Joja is closed. 8pm? What day was it? What season? :)

I thought someone said in the BIG Secrets Thread that went on for months that people looked at the code of the game and if a big secret existed, they would've found it. Was that true? Could we really, us the players, find secrets that big?

there is also a secret where if you forage the bush above the playground at exactly 12:00 PM on the 28th of any month you get a piece of secret furniture

It works once though. I tried going back on the following 28th, next season, and I didn't get anything.

Jojo Mart is out of business in my file. It's also spring and the day is the 19th.

The creator of the game has said many times that there are still secrets in SDV that no one has discovered yet, so there may be something to this.

I asked him and he said that there was one reference that he's never seen anybody find, and that he thinks all the other secrets have been found... so the outlook isn't good. It may have been phrased differently by him but I believe the secrets have pretty much all been found at this point, barring new ones in recent updates.
