Getting first Iridium ores

I think it's worth to invest in Iridium Sprinklers first right?

Iridium axe, I'd say. You can buy Iridium Sprinklers every friday

I'd say:
1. Iridium band; ups your attack power, acts as a magnet and a light source. I usually combine it with the Bandit Band or Burglar Ring or whatever, or if it's not unlocked yet, the speed or health boosting rings.
2. Iridium pickaxe, to get iridium faster.
3. Slime hutch, so you can start getting slime egg drops, for extra money from the mines. (You can immediately destroy the hutch after, if you want, but you need to build at least one to begin getting eggs.)
4. A few iridium sprinklers.
5. Iridium watering can, hoe and/or axe. Up to you.
6. A few more sprinklers.
7. Finish upgrading all tools.
8. Go to town on sprinklers.
9. Crystalariums

Just go and get a huge amount of iridium from the Skull Cave. Like you dcan upgrade a lot of tools and build sprinklers. But I get sprinklers first because money is more important as money breeds even more money. Without money you can't upgrade tools anyway.

hard to say i am personaly also going sprinkles that allows me to get 20+ sprinklers by fall 1st year
pickaxe may be best
if you have money and donated enough arfifacts to muzeum you can buy 1 sprink/week (10k gold) afterall

Trust me mate. Focus ONLY on money until you can use the Skull cave trick to gain ore. Just make quality sprinklers and focus on as much money as possible. All you need is 268,000 gold.

9900 stones = 198,000g = 100 stairs (you can get more stones on the way down and use any free stair you see close by)
50 Megabombs = 50,000g
10 Life Elixir = 20,000g

Build as many stairs as you can. Skip as many levels as you can. When you are down to like a few stairs left you can start farming. After enough levels you should see ore all around you. So bomb the levels pick things up fast, drop a stair or just down a hole if you are close to one and continue until they day is about to end. After that you should have no problem at all. Like I did it in spring of second year and now I have no problem whatsoever as I gained like +150 ore and 7 Prismatic Shards. The real problem is batteries as they can only be gained in Summer and Fall as only tunderstorms can happen then. In spring you never get thunder and in winter it also never happen.

You'd think that Iridium would make everything awesome, but it has surpisingly little impact.

The tools are minor convenience upgrades. Space is mostly free, so sprinklers that take 1 tile out of 25 aren't that much better than sprinklers that take 1 tile out of 9. Slime Hutches take a while to pay for themselves and don't generate that much gold, and by the time they start producing, you generally don't need gold anymore. Dungeons are easy so you only need one Glow ring and one Magnet ring for convenience.

Use it for whatever you want. It won't make much of a difference.
