Secret Fishing Spot?

So below Leah's cottage, there is a spot that always gives me gold star quality fish. I've fished their for 7 days strait and got so much money, not a single gray star, or regular quality fish. Just Gold stars, is this a bug? I'm not using any mods.

Depends on your fishing level, once you get high enough level all you catch is gold star fish.

I caught in other areas like the ocean, the lake, and got regular fish. Would you like to see a screenshot?

Fish quality can vary depending on how far you cast and how deep the water is. It's possible to catch gold-quality fish at level 4 Fishing and no-quality fish at level 10 Fishing.

At level 10, unless you choose to fish in a silly location, almost every fish should be gold-quality.

For starters, you see that pier way down south? near willy's hut? Yeah, go to the leftmost part of the pier, keep going south from there, you'd see a rock to your left, now align yourself to that rock, and cast there. 100% gold ocean fishes fam.

There are certain areas on the map that are called "Gold spots". As I'm sure people've already said, you'll generally only be getting gold star fish in these areas. There's one for every spot you can catch a specific fish in.

Silverstrike sums this up really well. Certain areas do have gold spot areas (E.G. The rock by the left pier in the ocean) and the rod and fishing level does have an effect. Have you heard of the out of bounds glitch? (idk if it was patched) It's a great example that if you get in a good area you get brilliant fish!) Anyway, happy fishing!

Also, if you press the journal icon after casting your rod, you can pause time while waiting. When you hear the sound that comes when a fish bites, click the big red X and have a happy time fishing.

That's interesting, I'm gonna make a second save and try to figure out those spots, for all the types of fishing areas
