You can get some energy from eating, but each night you'll restore some energy. Depending on the time that you go to sleep or if you got exausted the last day, you'll wake up with half or full energy. To get money you can sell almost anything, you can plant, go fishing, mine, fight at the mines, pick up items from the ground... You'll unlock new things with more time.

Pick up items laying on the ground and sell them at Pierres! Also it you are mining a lot or cutting trees down that can take a lot of energy. But like in the other comment your energy should restore each night.

As everone else said, but also lvling up your skills will help you out too. The higher your lvl, the less energy it takes to do an action related to that skill.

Example:

Person A-
Farming: 7
Fishing: 2
Mining: 1
ect. ect.

Person B-
Farming: 2
Fishing: 7
Mining: 4
ect. ect.

If person A and B farmed the exact same way, Person A would have used less energy doing so, conversly, If they went fishing, person B would be able to fish for a longer period of time. Same with mining and all the other skills

The specific rate is each level gained reduces energy usage by 5%. So at level 10 you use 50% less energy on a task.

Early game, salmon-berries are your best friend for energy.

early-game money, my preference is to go fishing. You can make around 1k a day fishing. That's huge when you only have 500g to start with. The more you fish, the bigger the green area becomes and the easier it is to fish. Upgrade to a new fishing pole and some bait, and you can make a decent amount of money early-game.

Yes, skill makes a big difference in energy consumption. If you're level 5, you'll spend 1.5 Energy per action instead of the base 2.

Not all that significant for Fishing, though. At level 10 you spend 7 Energy per cast rather than 8. Because you catch more fish with a higher level, you'll actually end up spending more Energy per hour instead of less.

However remember, these reductions are only related to the skills associated with them. You lvl up by doing whatever is related to them too, food will be your best friend and if your foraging then rememeber to keep the pinecones because they can make trail mix which is usefull for begginers (Trail mix is 1 of each tree types seed, and will be unlocked by lvling up once in foraging)

At lvl 5 and 10 you get perks, man I was grinding my fishing for bundles and while I was fishing from Dawn till Dusk I got maybe like 2-3k even before getting the lvl 10 bonus $ perk.

This particular screenshot was on Day 8. I only had the level 5 profession.

With the level 10 profession, well... things do change a bit.

The fish must be inside the green bar for it to be reeled in.
If the fish is outside the bar, it's escaping.

If you're fishing on your farm, you're going to get mostly junk. It's better to fish elsewhere.

You can turn junk into useful stuff once you craft a Recycling Machine.

To trash something, just drag and drop it to the trashcan.
