I'm dumb. Can someone explain to me how tilling soil is good money grind?

I see a lot of people saying during the winter to till soil to get money, but I have had no luck. How is it supposed to be a good form of money making while you can't grow crops?

Maybe they are referring to getting roots (randomized) and artifacts? IMO it doesn't seem like that great of money tho IMO. Personally, I spend winter in the caves or fishing.

No one ever said to till soil in winter to get money. Because that's crazy.

At best you can use the Yams and Roots that you find to craft some Wild Seeds (Winter), but that's not particularly good money either.

Never heard that either. Just go to the mines to farm ores, in order to craft sprinklers in the next spring. You could also go fishing.

I've never seen that advice my self.

The dig site worms are easier to see in winter, which requires tiling to get the underlying item. They are supposedly more common in winter. That's not a recommendable source of money though. It's something to keep in mind if you are trying to complete the museum collection.

They are probably more common because of the fact that Yams and others are found during Winter.

But ya, it's better to just go mining, tending to your farm animals, and fishing. I was Fishing during winter to try and complete the bundle, only to notice that I earned ~2k-3k a day (fishing in the ocean, +lvl 5 with the bonus $ perk, from dawn till dusk) and just reached lvl 10 in spring.

I basically rely on the milk and the egg (to make cheese and other products). More, don't forget that you can actually craft the winter seed (check it).

I do go to the mining but it doesn't really earn that much as my animals help earn for me....
