How to obtain iridium quality small eggs and milk?

Checked wiki and found it's so hard to get one. I only have larges ones but not the small ones.

It's partially random, but it has the best chance of happening when your animals are at highest Friendship and Mood.

It's entirely pointless for Eggs to be Iridium-quality, though. They're always worth more once turned to Mayonnaise.

Iridium Milk is actually a rare exception in that it's worth more than the no-quality Cheese it turns into, but only if you don't have Artisan yet. Once you have Artisan, the Cheese is always worth more than the Milk it's made from.

Edit: I suppose they might make a decent enough gift. A lot of people like them and they give 67 Friendship. Not as good as 80 for a no-quality Loved gift, and quite expensive at 190g lost, but close enough.

I need them for collection though. But sometimes at a certain friendship and mood all eggs produced will be big, so does milk.

Collections don't take quality into account. You can just send one Egg of any quality and it'll be sufficient.

Hey, I know it has been many years since this post but you are the only person online that actually understands the question I am trying to answer. I am trying to get every quality everything in Stardew Valley and also go from gold quality goat milk, for example, straight to regular large goat milk. It skips iridium quality small goat milk and small eggs. Did you ever figure out how to get these iridium quality items?

To get iridium quality small items you need to use the appropriate profession bonus from either coopmaster or shepherd with around 3 hearts of friendship and maximum mood (let them eat outside). That'll get you the best chance of failing the large item upgrade while still having a high enough roll modifier for the quality boost. If their friendship is too high you won't be able to fail the large item upgrade roll.
