Giving gifts after Marriage Question
I am planning marrying one of the characters, but after doing research I'm worried. I have the pendant and I've already raised most of everyone's friendships to at least 4+ hearts. I heard that if you give gifts to people after marriage, your spouse with become suspicious of you.

I don't really want that, but what if I were to give a gift to one of the villagers that I can't marry. Like... George for example (since he has the spicy eel recipe, which is very useful in my opinion). Will my spouse become suspicious of I gave George a gift?

from what i remember if its the character that you cant marry then your spouse wouldnt get suspicious, even if they get suspicious with someone that you can marry, it doesnt affect anything

If the character you're giving gifts to isn't one of the marriage candidates, your spouse won't care.

As others have said, it should only affect the bachelors/bachelorettes. However, I find I get a much higher chance of a jealous spouse if I give LOVED gifts. I can get away with a lot of liked gifts, but I have to be careful with loved ones. Also, to be honest, it's fine when they do it. I like socializing and it would really hurt me not to socialize once married, so I'll just shower my partner with gifts and mitigate that risk. (There's no real penalty when they do become jealous.)

I don't know about you or anyone else here, but I sort of like acting like I am in the game. So it kinda hits me mentally like "Oh shoot I hurt them!" I know it's kind of childish, but it makes me "happy" I guess. It's weird... But that's why I asked
