where do i find a cockle

i need a cockle to complete the crab pot bundle but i cant find them. where are they at?

They spawn randomly on the beach, or you can catch them *with* crab pots on the ocean. In any season. Looks like RNG might be working against you a bit >.>

Yeah, but if you don't yet have a crab pot and can't really spare the resources to make one, your only options are the beach forageables and the crab as a loot drop from a rock crab. This way doesn't take that long. Usually.
