Amethysts are best because they're common and cheap. It's an efficient 80 Friendship.

If you want faster Friendship gains... Pufferfish, Pumpkins and Rabbit's Feet are your only options. They're her only Loved gifts that can have quality. A silver-quality item will give 88 Friendship, a gold-quality item will give 100 Friendship, and an Iridium-quality Rabbit's Foot would give 120 Friendship.

Obviously, don't forget to talk to her every day.
