Is there a way to make my character move JUST A BIT QUICKER!?!?!

Drink Coffee or cook one of the many dishes that give you a speedboost. Or get a horse to be faster around the map.

Buy the Stable (The Stable is a farm building purchasable from Robin at the Carpenter's Shop). You will unlock the horse. The horse provides a +30% movement speed increase.

and,when you unlock the horse,you can drink coffee before ride the horse,this can make you move faster

...and don't forget to make sure the 'Always Run' box is checked in the options. Sorry if you already know this, but if you're new to the game it's easily overlooked.

Crab cake is the best speed boost item:

. +1 defense
. lasts 16m or entire in-game day
. cheap to make
. stacks with coffee, so you can have more speed !

Edit: requires some crab pot however, so not exactly that cheap.

stack a horse on coffee on pepper poppers. basically +3 movement speed. super fast!

Oops...sorry. Been so long since I started a new game I didn't realize.
