Got second Ancient Seed artifact - can I make it a seed?

Can I turn this second artifact into a seed somehow? Supposedly the first one taught me to craft it.

check your crafting tab, should be a crafting recipe for ancient seeds if you donated the first one to the museum...

This is correct.

If you turned in the first, you got a seed and the recipe to turn any more Ancient Seed artifact that you find into one more seed packet.

Found it! The first time I looked at my crafting tab, I could find nothing. But when I checked it again later, there it was, all lit up with the blue packet. Odd. But I'm happy for the second chance because I timed my first planting wrong and I don't have the seed maker yet.
