You will not find any iridium in mines. Its luck based thing from treasures, meteorites or geodes. Or 70+ level skull cave... so...Just cheat, ♥♥♥ that. Dont waste time because some ahole developer.

Get 4 candles at grandpas shrine at the end of year 2. This will give you the statue of purrfection which grants plenty of irridium ore. No need to cheat, that just ruins the game.

Lol, you need end 100% of this game to get that statue. At that point you dont need any iridium. :D
Do you know what ruins my experience? Luck based crap like iridium, when after 90h of gamaplay i got like 5 bars, one from meteorite. So yeah, thats ruin my experience and f that i will cheat and dont feel bad about it at all. I also cheated legendary fish, because f. them too.

No you dont. Its a scoring system that doesnt even come close to needing 100% game completion.

Omni Geodes sometimes have Iridium Ore. Fishing Treasure Chests also sometimes have Iridium Ore if you cast far enough.

But the easy way to get Iridium Ore is to do a deep Skull Cavern run with Bombs. Once you get past level 100 it becomes more common.

Getting that statue from grandpa is actually pretty easy. I was able to do it before ever going into the skull cave or making anything out of iridium (all my sprinklers were bought from the travelling merchant). Finish the community center, make at least a small attempt at friending villagers and your pet/spouse (even just a top gift on their birthdays gets you pretty close), finish the mine, either catch all the fish or ship all the crops, level up your skills, and just earn as much as you can (honestly the earning $ points are very easy if you've gotten far enough to upgrade your houses and barns).

It was very difficult to get a good score originally but its a lot more forgiving now and is by far the easiest and fastest way to get iridium. You get enough to make more than a bar a day.

Small clarification for those who might be tempted to just wait for the statue:

It's relatively easy to complete enough goals to earn the statue, but it's nowhere as easy as just getting it yourself.

It's also extremely slow because you have to wait two years to get evaluated. I don't expect any of my future playthroughs will last anywhere near long enough to even get to the evaluation, and even in my first playthrough I already had more Iridium than I needed half a year before the evaluation.

The amount of Iridium you get is random, seems to be between 2 and 8. On average it's enough for one bar a day, but you won't get enough for a bar every single day.

Of all the ways to get Iridium, this would be the worst.

Luck helps a lot in getting iridium ore sooner when exploring Skull Cavern. With a Lucky Lunch buff running(+3 luck) this evening, and normal luck for the day , I started getting Iridium Nodes around level 20. and only got to level 45 but already had 53 iridium ore when I left.

You find iridium in the skull cave after you get the bus repaired, key to skull cave is at bottom of mines

Another way to get iridium is to purchase the statue of endless fortune for 1M at the casino (multiple purchasable).
You have can get iridium bars among other valuable items.

You can farm 115-120 for rare drops of iridium ore. But if you want large amounts you'll to start running skull cave. if you can get down to 300 the ore is as common as stone there. Just use a crap ton of stairs and bombs. Oh a lots of food.

If you can't do the skull cavern, I think shadow brutes in the deeper mines can rarely drop iridium bars. It's helpful if you get the burglar ring from killing 500(?) dust sprites. Double drops, double chance of iridium bars.
