Marriage is good for the evaluation but you can also redo the evaluation at any point with a diamond. I'm regretting not taking more time to do heart events even though I who I married. I did end up changing who I was going to marry because of the heart events I did see.
This would be a good reason. Once you're married, you risk making your spouse angry by giving bouquets to other characters. If you're not married, you can shower the whole town with bouquets with no consequence.
It's also somewhat expensive. If it's early in the game, then surely you've got better things to do with that 15,000g.
I probably will get most the characters I love to 6~8 hearts then marry abigail
