Am I the only one who wants to stop rain?
So I tried looking around for this and I can't seem to find anything for this. In the first place, with sprinklers I don't need rain. However, I also have a Junimo Hut which harvests your crops for you, but not when it's raining. My setup involves some densely packed Hops most of which I can't reach, but the Junimo's can. Except when It's raining. So I end up losing money every time it rains. There's a way to make it rain more, but is there a way to stop it or at least lessen the chance of rain. Hoping for a solution that is not a mod.

The simple answer: no.

Or, you know... you could interlace your crop types so that in the event of rain, it would still be possible to harvest the Hops.

When I did hops I just did 6 to a quality sprinkler and left 2 tiles fallow, with a space in between them and scarecrows in the middle row.

hops don't require much space really. the goal of hops is to you know....make alot of money from not very much money, but usually for a MASSIVE amount of money I'd do starfruit or ancient fruit, since the labor involved is much less, for ancient fruit,

I only need to plant once, harvest 8 times and run it thru kegs 8 times.

for hops I need to plant once + 2 other seasons of god knows what, harvest and run it thru kegs 17 times.

Also because you can eat hops its more of a pain to run it thru kegs.

unless you are running some mode like automation, where you'd just dump your hops somewhere and let the game do the tedious parts for you, but in that case why not just give yourself the money?

You do know you can left click kegs with hops, or any other vegetable or fruit and it'll put it in so you don't get that eat message.

I agree with the hops though, good for kegs, but it's a pain to harvest everyday. Late game, it's just better to do starfruit/ancient fruit.

Oh yeah, no one can argue that Hops are more work.

Then again, it has to be this way because it's arguably the best crop in the game.

Hops Plant: seeds are dirt-cheap, grows in 11 days, worth close to 3,000g a week
Ancient Fruit Plant: seeds are hard to get, grows in 28 days, worth 2,350g a week

But indeed, running next to a bunch of Kegs while holding left-click will pick up Pale Ale and put more Hops back in the Keg, so that part of it is fairly painless.

The only genuinely annoying part is that it has to be harvested and processed daily.

Yeah, I currently have about 48 Hops going right now. (with enough Hops, in a single season they far exceed even Starfruit in profit) I am working to eventually fill my greenhouse with Ancient Fruit (in Summer of my 3rd year and still haven't found a single ancient seed :steamsalty:) But in the meantime, I was experimenting with ways to use the really good profit power of Hops without having to worry about the daily upkeep. In the end I'm probably just going to have to run the numbers and see how many rainy days I can have before the Hops profits drop below the Starfruits.

That would have to be unrealistically high, wouldn't it?

Starfruits aren't bad at all, but they're only worth 1,575g a week.
Hops are worth nearly 3,000g a week.

If it rained half the time and rain prevented harvest completely, Starfruits would barely come out ahead.

But it doesn't generally rain that often, and you can still manually harvest a good percentage of the Hops even when it does rain.

I just don't see Hops coming under Starfruits.
