i picked up a clam with a purple star what does it mean o.o
:D im not sure what other details to add.

Stars on items indicate greater quality.

A grey metallic star means it's slightly better.
A gold star means it's quite a bit better.
An iridium star means it's a lot better.

It means that the clam gods have blessed you with the purple participation star. You should feel lucky.
