Do you literally have to be rank 5 proffesional to catch the legendary crimson fish?

Im rank 10 and I can't seem to catch this fish. Im on the east pier across the bridge from the shack and I've been fishing for 3 days straight this thing will not come up. It's summer too.

If you are talking about the Crimsonfish, then you have to cast your line near the log that is to the left of the pier (that's how I caught it)

I would guess you are just unlucky :/

3 of the other Legendary fish i got a hook on them after 1-5 tries

The wiki says specifically to catch it at the pier..I'll try that though =L

Can you be more specific like where do I need to fish outside of the log?

Technically u just need to cast the line towards the east on the Eastern island. I encountered crimson fish a few time while just casting the line east while still inside the eastern Island.

I've casted east before never caught it.

The odds are almost as low as u catching the rare fish but it is there. That's how I first encountered the legend fish while I was hunting for squid and when I wiki it was like wtf.

sigh I've caught like about 100 fish already in that area and no legendary.

Are u max or near max throwing with bait and at least lvl 10 fishing? Also crimson only exist in summer and in ocean.

Why'd you ask if I have rank 10 fishing when It's right there in the description? Also I max most of the time. And I use bait, doesn't seem to make a difference.

Just checking, and u can see if u caught the legend in ur line by looking at the head of the fishing during the fight. If u see a crown or dorsal find on the fishes head, u got it.

Yeah I know I've caught two different legendary fish already but this one seems to not exist.

Like i said, its luck. I was fortunante to get it while hunting for squid.
