"An explosion was heard in the night"

So, that was the text I got when i started up my game, completed a day, and when i went to bed, i heard something unusual, like an explosion. If it helps, I am in hte fifth or fourth day of summer in the fifth year with almost all of my skills maxed out and I have all but three of the "stars" or sections of the communty center bundle. So, does anyone have a clue as to where i might find the source of the explosion? I'm guessing it's somewhere on my farm.

IIRC a meteorite crashed somewhere on your farm. You can break it open with a sufficiently upgraded pickaxe. It's pretty rare. I haven't had one yet in my most recent game.

Ah okay thank you! I figured it must've been a meteorite. What level of the pickaxe would enable me to crack it open? The iridium pickaxe?

No, not iridium. I think gold as well.

It´s not so rare, I had three in my first game (in year five). On my second game, I´m in the
second year and have none.

Yes... I got a mention of an earthquake before I got access to the spa, and the day after receiving the notice about an explosion, I had a meteor in my forest.

Spa opening up is an earthquake, btw. Explosion is meteorite.

yep meteor they drop iridium ore also i am in year 2 and i got a meteor :D and have all but 2 stars in the community center
