How to Move Storage Chest???

So I crafted a storage chest and I accidentally placed it on the middle of my house !! D:
HALP ME! I can't seem to move it.

Take everything from that chest to your inventory or on floor and then destroy it with pickaxe

How to I put items on the floor then? :o

Supposedly you drop the item off the edge of the inventory screen. I've never tried it. I move items into second chest if I don't have enough inventory room, then move the first chest, then replace the items or reorganize them entirely.
