How do I contuine the story?

I dont understand how to contuine the games story. I like emily, so i gifted her a few things and had the scene where shes dreaming and i enter and where a bird hits her window. PLEASE DONT LEAVE SPOLIERS, just give me a tiny hint!

There isn't a linear story, you just kind of do whatever the more you play the game.

I'm confused. Do you want to gain more hearts, marry her or unlock the last two hearts?

Check on the friendship list to see how many hearts she has, when she has more than 6 heart, pay her a visit in her house when she is there(before/after her work).

Reaching certain ''heart'' threshold will simply trigger ''event'' with that character under certain conditions.
These events can happen out of order as well.
However they dont have any meaningful purpose (unless you are interested in those).
They wont impact your chance to ''marry'' someone.

Heck, it's not even relevant to the ''story'', so it can't even be considered a spoiler, not to mention that you'll most likely find out about it early in the game anyways.

Typically, the marriage candidates have a cutscene every 2 hearts. A lot of them are easy to stumble upon, such as walking through town during a sunny day, or entering their house when they're there. A few are tricky, such as visiting the beach when it rains, or entering town after 10pm.

Once you get an NPC to 8 hearts, Pierre sends you a letter which explains how to make them your boyfriend/girlfriend. At 10 hearts, the Mayor explains how to marry someone, via letter.

I think Emily's 8-heart event is in the Mayor's house, but she should send a letter explaining where and why...

Have you read the main post? "A tiny hint" I didnt want to know how to get married, Itd learn that from playing the game. Ill report you if you contuine posting on this.
