Husband options are terrible!

Seriously, all the men are horribly obnoxious. Am I the only one that thinks this? The only one that doesn't constantly bother me is Harvey.
Why can't I just marry Clint? lol
I've resorted to wooing Leah, since she's the only romance-able character that I like. Maru would be my second choice, I suppose, but the men are just SO disappointing!

EDIT: I should add that I love Stardew Valley and the relationship aspect of the game is not terribly important to me so I don't really care, I'm just curious what others think.

I like Emily a lot, she's cute and really nice but hot dang she needs to shut up about fashion all the time. Srsly gurl you wear the same outfit every day, get it together.

I thought the same. I hated all of the men in the game. Some are egotistical, alcholics, annoying, smoke, etc. So, I decided, "Eh, I'll just marry Leah because she seems reasonable and far better than the men in the game". Honestly though, I got to high hearts with Shane and he isn't that bad. Your character just needs to get to know him. I imagine that it's the same with many of the other characters, I just haven't tried yet. I think I just chose Leah for my first go around because she seemed the least terrible right off the bat. I almost want to see Clint become a possibility, just because he seems so sweet, but I doubt that'll happen.

I married Sebastian and personally I think he is the best designed male candidates.

It seems Sebby is the only one that still keeps relationship with both friend and family after marriage(though his family and friend doesn't have any dialogue about the marriage). He will go to visit his mother on Monday, and hang out with his friend Sam at Saloon on Friday. This makes Sebby more like a real person.(In real life, unless something terrible happened, a person won't lose family or friend relationship just because he/she gets married)

Also, from one of his dialogue after marriage, it implies he still keeps his job as a freelance programmer. Though he doesn't bring you any income, he is not like Harvey or Shane who doesn't have a job anymore after marriage.

For the person who wants to marry Clint, I'm pretty sure there is a mod that allows you to do that. Please keep in mind that Clint will stop working after marriage, so you won't have a blacksmith to upgrade tools/break geode for you after marrying him.

Yea but he is not interact with his friend anymore. I guess it could be because he and Haley don't really have much interaction together before marriage.

Actually, IIRC, it's because he enjoys the farm life more, or that he'd like to work on the farm instead.

I'd wish all the candidates can keep their job schedule(or at least partial job schedule), like Harvey will still be in hospital from time to time for people's health examination; Maru will go to work in hospital as nurse or go home work with her dad on science project; Emily will still go help out at bar, etc...(Sebastian is the lucky one here since he works at home with flexible schedule.)

The only exceptions are Sam and Shane, I'd prefer they stay on farm instead of going to work, cuz Joja Market is a terrible place and I'm gonna make it out of business anyway XD

Actually harvey still works at the clinic. i'm married to him in my main save and every few days he'll still go work at the clinic.
