can i get truffles from somewhere else other than pigs?

there's no way in getting the deluxe barn AND the deluxe coop with ALL the animals in them any time soon! but i really want to complete the community center as quickly as possible and the truffle thing is the only big hindrance in the way >-<;

The Travelling Cart that appears in the forest on Fridays and Sundays can sometimes sell a truffle. Though that's very random.

Yep, your only option is the travelling cart. You can get truffles and truffle oil from there randomly. They'll cost you anywhere from 2000g to 5000g, though.

That cart is amazing for completing the more difficult Community Center finds. Now that I know which ones are hardest, I'll know what to keep an eye out for when I play through again.

yeah!! i was saved by it several times! it's true they WERE expensive sometimes, but it was worth it, i couldn't have waited that long for me to be able to get those things by myself xD
