Grumpy NPCs?

So, I haven't really progressed in the game in terms of relationships (when I've chosen a love interest for my character, I practically ignore the entire town for them unless the game requires me to) next to Sebastian, and I managed to marry him in Year 1. I talked to him everyday, but only yesterday did I find out that NPCs can have their... mood swings.

When I woke up, Seb was still lying in bed, the kiddos running around acting like animals as they usually do, and when I talked to Sebastian he sorta snapped at me. I don't remember the exact line, but it was something like:
"What do you want? I'm trying to sleep here."
I don't recall him getting up for most of the day afterwards. ._.
I don't know if I did something wrong the day before, but the next day he was alright. Is it just random? I was honestly so shocked when he said that. XD

random. They have thier bad days like everyone does from time to time.

I've gotten similar conversations while married to Sam and Alex (in different games). I think it's just random.

I'm married to Abigail, and yeah, before marrigae it sometimes happened, dialog like "I'm not in a good mood right now, I didn't get much Sleep last night." "What do you want? I said I wasn't in a good mood!"
But I never had this random things happen after marrying her. Only when I forgot her b-day, but never again. Did you guys give your spouses a gift on their birthday? If not, that's why they'll be angry and stay in bed for the next day.

It was nowhere near his birthday, and I always give him sashimi everyday. He's at a full twelve hearts, and I've never seen him be that irritated before we married.

If your Husband/wife is in bed don't talk to them. They get pissed that your waking them up and you don lose friendship from doing this too. Learned that with Maru the hard way.

Okay, that's weird... Keep him at 13 hearts as I do, I never had that happening. Maybe I'm just lucky that for four years now, Abby was never randomly mad? idk.
