Remove the getting trash from crab boxes.

I'd much rather get the fishing perk then go anywhere near the crab box perk because of the risk of getting trash. Everyday I have 5 traps placed and I usually get 3 out them filled with garbage.

I can't even get any rare crustacious kind of fish whatsoever so I hardly bother with the traps.

In order to make them better is remove the ability or MAYBE lower the trash rate by alot and maybe the crab box would be more useful.

Until then Crab Box is just Trash Box to me. It loves eating garbage.

Then take the perk where crab pots only catch fish. Also 5 is not a lot.

Also people with crabpot perks make them cheaper to craft.

It takes a bit more time, but turning the trash into more valuable things makes me want to find trash! Of course, that may just be early in the game when I need those more valuable items. Maybe later, I'll get bored of getting trash because I don't need what they transmute to, either.

I get just as much trash as I do from fishing so why should I really bother dealing with trash in crab boxes? I suppose I'll make more crab boxes in the future but It's a bit annoying seeing nothing but broken glasses in every crab box.

You might call them crap. But crab pots can easily out do the fish rod once you have enough.

Fishing rods take energy to use. If you use the perks for the crab pots, you get free things every day, depending on whether or not you chose the perk that makes it so you don't need to bait the crab pots.
