How to craft multiple staircases at once?

I was just watching the current world record holder for this game and noticed he was able to create 5 staircases at once without the need to drag them into inventory. Whenever I try to do this with any of the normal multiple creation hotkeys it only ever makes me 1 straircase that I then need to drag to my inventory.

Does anyone know how to do this with mouse and/or keyboard? If it isn't possible with mouse and keyboard, does anyone know what means are needed to do such a thing? This method would help a lot with optimizing time in 100+ floor Skull Cavern runs for the 1,000s of iridium I need.

Control+Click or Shift+Click the recipe. Can't recall which, and in fact they might both work (but craft a different number).

I've seen someone do that with kegs too. But I couldn't reproduce it in my game with keyboard and mouse. Maybe it's a controller thing.

I would guess it's a mod. I wish those items did stack in your inventory, though - not sure why they don't, honestly.

I didn't see the staircases stack. They seem to be constructed 5 at a time, but go into individual inventory slots on the first row. Then he appears to use the mouse wheel to select them one by one and place them.

If it is a controller only thing, does anyone with a controller know how to do it?
