Spouse getting mad about 'house being cluttered'
Can we just get rid of this? It would make sense if the house was ACTUALLY cluttered/dirty, but often my PC's spouse gets ticked off and mad at me for having a dirty/cluttered house when it's anything but and is very neat and organized, whatever coding has them determine it to be cluttered up is obviously not working very well.

And quite frankly, all I feel is a great deal of annoyance at he/she whenever he/she decides to get mad at my PC(and by extension me) for having a dirty house.

While that would be forgiveable if it was the case, all it does is shatter my immersion and the immersion of any player(and I don't mean 'immersion' in the pretentious sense that the game is realistic or w/e, I'm talking about the game's ability to suck you in) when my PC's spouse is essentially being a complete idiot, where all I can think is 'what the actual hell are you talking about.'

I can give you one yea, but I've had the same thing occur when I've taken every piece of furniture possible out, so I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter

Do they count the yard too, maybe?

Like, maybe keep the path between the front door, the farm exit, and the area north of the shipping bin completely clear?

But yeah, the message is annoying. I wouldn't miss it.

I'm still not married with Leah, but i will just keep pouring wine into her when she gets mad.
Just bring her diamonds as often as you can

It's not really the point

The point is, it's an annoying nuisance that doesn't add anything to the gameplay and actually takes away from it

it's just dialogue meant to better simulate a real relationship, she's referring to sweeping the floors etc.

it's like when she gets mad at you for talking to her when she's in bed and doesn't feel like getting out sometimes, it's just dialogue for the sake of dialogue and doesn't actually mean anything

Who did you marry? I'm married to Emily and I have a decent amount of stuff in my house (neatly organized but lots of stuff nonetheless) and she hasn't complained once. She makes me gluten free cookies and meditates outside. Did you marry Haley? lol

Nope, Abigail, it's only happened once, but it's still just kind of a 'wtf' because she's complaining about a clean house

Prior to that it was Leah, where I took literally every piece of furniture I was able to do so out of the house and the annoyed 'how can I get anywhere in this messy house' STILL happened

@rad rat ray

'it's just dialogue meant to better simulate a real relationship, she's referring to sweeping the floors etc. '

Except that's stupid, it's stupid to have dialogue with a character hassling you for something you have literally zero control over, and it just comes off as obnoxious. And it takes me totally out of the game

Okay example, I have a younger brother who would occasionally complain to me about things that were often incredibly petty or just something I have no control over, and my emotional response was to want to punch him in the face everytime.

It's the same thing here, when an NPC gets in your face about something ridiculous, all it does is annoy the hell out of you

The dialogue adds NOTHING to the game, if it actually worked it'd be fine, but it doesn't

(Also, the dialogue isn't simulating real relationship, it only ever pops up with your spouse arbitrarily decides that your house is too 'dirty' i.e. cluttered up so that he/she can't get where they want to go, but it doesn't work and they will do it to you even if you've stripped every bit of furniture out that you can)
