Brand new to game/Buying seeds

I am in day 2, visited Pierre. I am having a lot of trouble with getting used to basic game controls, in part, because I am accustomed to using a left-handed mouse, which the game doesn't recognize, so everything feels backwards to me. (I've had games with this restriction before, eventually I get used to it.)

ANYWAY, I go to Pierre, I click to buy seeds, I hover over the seeds I want and click to get the quantity I want.

THEN NOTHING HAPPENS. Right click, left click, click the X in the upper right, hit ESC-- nothing works. Is this a bug or do I just not understand the controls?

I know some people using left-hand still keep the mouse buttons the same as for a right-hander (in other words, the left and right buttons still function the same), so in that regard, if you have that set up, your mouse action should be the same.

But if you have set up your buttons differently, then you can change it in the Options setting in the game. Just click Escape or E key to see the menu then go to Options. Scroll down and you should be able to set the new key or mouse action for what you needed.

I usually use a left-handed mouse, but yes, I have the buttons reversed (so that they're the same as for a right-handed mouse). I haven't had any problems with the game.

I'm using the Mac client though, I haven't tried running the Windows version.

Check the options, you should be able to adjust inputs.

sounds like a bug, but i dont have any problems with stardew ._.

im left handed but still using normal mouse. think its a bug

Thanks for the input. What's the normal way of buying seeds and exiting the seed window?

Left click on the seed to buy, place in your inventory, click the x in the upper right to close the window.

Shift left click to buy 5
Right click hold to buy 1 seed over and over rapidly
There's a way to by 5 at a time rapidly, I think shift right click does that.
