Soundtrack, why does this sound so familiar...

Just curious, not any knock on the game or anything. But isn't this supposed to be a totally original sound track? I swear that part of it sounds exactly like something from a Reality Pump game, either TW2... or I'm thinking more like something from Raven's Cry. I'm going to check this out to be sure, but I'm nearly 100% positive of it.

It is an original soundtrack, the dev made all the music himself. It is very likely there are similar sounding songs out there, though.

Umm, I'm not so sure about that. The one part sounds identical to something I heard before. Again, I am not knocking on the dev or anything, but I'm going to follow up on this becaues it's so similar.

Question 3: What program are you using to make the game?
Stardew Valley is written in C#, using the XNA framework. The graphics were made in Photoshop and Paint.NET, and the music/SFX with Propellerhead Reason.

They are remarkably close, but... I'd say it's more coincidence than plaigarism, perhaps just going for the same feel? Regardless, you're right, they are very similar.

No song is original, often times when making the flow of a song an idea can and will pop into the head of a creator, completely oblivious to the fact it was actually from a game rather than "it sounds cool"
