Are you sure you didn't give it to the blacksmith?
only the day you give it to him and the following day
err at the very most it would be considered less than 2 days since someone can drop it off at the last minute, but as long as you pick it up at 9 am it won't be staying with him the entire day
no need to assume anything, you hand it in and you get it "the day after tomorrow" which would be two days.
Parsnips say they take 4 days to grow and yet if you plant them on the 1st day you will get them on the 5th. It's not a matter of assuming, that's just how counting works
anyway it seems he left his axe in his fridge so I guess it doesn't matter
Imagine that happening to someone in real life.
But he has it for more than one day's time but less than three depending on times given and retrieved. (Give it on noon Day 1, 48 hours later, it's noon Day 3). It does not take him the whole day of Day 1 nor Day 3 to finish.
There are two ways of seeing this and both are correct.
