You still get the repairs, you just pay straight up money for them
However, you do not get any gifts like you do completing the bundles... not that the gifts are all that great but hey, free stuff.
Joja community center (warehouse) :
- Pay some money if you want to unlock town parts
- Fast phase, cause you only need money
- Get joja blue banner/sign and cola machine if you already purchase all the town parts
Juminos community center :
- Have to give some bundles to unlock town parts
- Juminos will give you rewards for every bundle you complete
- Get amazing reward after completing all the bundles
- And you can have juminos to help you harvesting some crops (after completing community center, you get different misson)
Correct me if i'm wrong
If you join Joja, then JojaMart's prices will match Pierre's. The benefit of this is that they're open until 11pm, and on Wednesdays. They'll also repair things around town, such as the bus, mine carts or greenhouse, for money. As a reward, you get a JojaCola machine for your house.
If you fix up the Community Center, each bundle completed gives items; turning in 1 of every Summer forage will give 30 Summer seeds, for example. Turning in a few fish will get you 3 free crab pots. This route gives more rewards, but it takes a LOT longer. If you do this, then JojaMart goes out of business, but Pierre is now open on Wednesdays.
For your first playthrough, I'd recommend doing the Community Center. Joja's way easier, though.
It feels as if Joja and Morris are like antagonists of the story....or at least, really unlikeable (like how you can find a letter in Pierre's room where Morris basically taunts him and offers him a job as a grocer for 5 gold per hour...)
So yeah, community centre is more work and may take up until year 2 or even 3 to complete....but it just feels "nicer", seeing how everyone boycotts Joja. But if you're only for easy repairs and don't care about the other NPCs or your famer's background, then you can join Joja and just buy everything...
