How to get Marnie's friendship.

Hello. I need to enter Manie's room to pick some shorts up from the ground. I've been like two weeks giving her two presents per week and I only get to have one heart. How can I get the second one? Do I need something else?

Just keep gifting her, and talk to her every day you can. Give her items she loves if you have them. I usually don't finish that quest until well into my 2nd year.

Just talk to her whenever you see her. Most women seem to like flowers, and most seem to love diamonds. Everyone seems to like artisan goods, such as wine or mayonnaise.

But I keep forgettign to talk to Marnie as well so year 2 to get those shorts.

Oh! If its evening, you can try to hit the tavern and nearly everyone is in there, so you can get harder to build relations like Marnie's and Shane's in the evening that way, they're in the tavern like almost every night.

Yeah Shane's routine is constant, but if you don't get to him before his shift starts, you'll have to wait until evening when he's always at the tavern. I used to always miss Shane because I wake up and have to tend my farm first before hitting town (usually after Shane's left for work).

Marnie... I try to my a cirlce through town before everything closes and always forget to visit Marnie before her shop closes.

I usually find Marine at the Saloon in the evenings. You can gift Shane while he's working at Joja Mart, but you can't talk to him during his shift.

That's actually what I do, just wait for evening to come by and most of the NPCs comes in and its a round of chatting and gifting. Much better than tracking down each person all over town.
