Largemouth bass problems

So I'm on the 27th of spring and I'm rushing to try and get the last fish for the community center and one of them is the largemouth bass. I'm using a fiberglass rod with bait and trout soup and fishing off the southern tip of the second island at the mountain lake. All I'm finding is rainbow trout and the occasional pike. Any help?

The wiki says largemouth bass are available from 6am to 7pm, all seasons and in any weather. I was going to ask if you were fishing too late, but the wiki says the rainbow trout is available the same time period, although only in summer (maybe the wiki is wrong if you are getting rainbow trout in spring). So, I'd infer you are fishing at the right time. Probably just RNG.

Well my friend, fish near the area linus lives go up the tiny wood plank then go accross the other plank and go to the lowest place right there (should be a rectangle shaped small ledge) and start fishing. As far as i know you accidently said spring instead of summer. Just keep fishing till u get a fish that darts a bit and when you catch it it might be a largemouth bass. Rinse and repeat
