Too Addictive.
Variety between tasks (fishing, mining, farming etc).
Playing casually will be around 70-80 hours.
It's fun.
You can date whoever you want, and as many as you want, even when married.
It's casual, meaning there's no game over. The game allows you to play at your own pace with nothing to worry about.
Alex is a good boy.
Cons:
Meh-ish character development.
Repetitive after 3rd year.
Sluggish start.
the best $15 spent on steam imo
con:
addictive to the point that it takes away from real life
you decide if the con is a good or bad thing
music soundtrack is stunning
everything is intricately woven together
emphasis on exploration and discovery
has enough substance to be called a game, easy enough to be called casual
really really really addicting. You can't stop. You really can't stop.
replay value -- multiple maps, different candidates for marriage, randomly generated mine, multiple paths and professions
mod community offers even more
no slaughtering of animals!
relaxing
cons
so addicting you don't pay attention to real life
The characters DO have depth. They're 3D characters, each with their own unique story. There just isn't a ton of romance involved.
Yes, at first i thought the same thing because im more of a multiplayer guy (which is coming). I thought i would get 8-10 hours out of the game. Then i gave it a chance. Boy did i make the right choice. This is one of the best games ive ever played.
Pros:
- Highly addictive
- No main story (What i mean is that there is no one thing to be focused on at one time and then be done with it)
- Upgrading your things actually has a purpose (Not just upgrading something to get better, but you must upgrade certain things to do certain things around the map)
- Keeps you busy and not sitting around and watching plants grow.
- Many different stories from all the different characters and the game rewards you for gaining friendships by giving you: Cutscenes and characters give you things.
- You get the feeling to keep playing (Good or Bad depending on who you are)
Cons:
-Can get repetitive at times
-Kind of difficult to get started (Low on cash in the beginning)
You decide what you do with your money though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
A lot things to do.. and you decide if you wanna be a warrior or just a farmer :)
There's just 1 con imo.. no multiplayer :/ but I hope it will be added one day. Anyway that game is really great, go and buy it before summer sale end ^^
It's been implied to come in fall/winter.
- More than just a farming game - You build relationships with other people and live a new life in a small town
- Video game definition of relaxing
- Very open-ended with a lot of random cutscenes that show more about each individual townsperson
- Very addicting (could be a con too but whatever)
Cons:
- Characters aren't really original
- Very slow and annoying start
- Building relationships with others takes a while
All in all I'd say this game is worth checking out if you like relaxing games. It's very slow-paced with happy music and kind-hearted characters. This game just makes me feel good. :D
But then again, CA doesn't execute it well, so eh.
but there are some glitch like you have to choose some crafts by mouse
cons:
- breaks my fingers playing with kb/mouse
- money glitches has been patched
Pros:
- very casual friendly, play for a few minutesor play all weekend long? Its all up to you.
- no set "end" meaning, you can keep playing the same farm you've spent all the hard work on as many game years (perhaps even RL years) as you wish.
- not locked into 1 mode of playing, meaning, if you'd rather mine, go ahead. Prefer gathering? sure, go ahead. You're a fishing fanatic? Go right on ahead. You like to explore dungeons? well, we've got you covered too.
- Modding support!
Cons:
- I'll just play for a little bit...(fast forward "a little bit") What?!? Its 2am already!?!
- vanilla map and greenhouse might feel a bit small if you're a heavy farmer.
- you might get so addicted you quit your job, move out to the countryside and buy your own farm (actually happened with someone!!)
When you need a little change, try the modding community either over at Nexus or over at Chucklefish. There's quite a bit of activity still for the game, so you might find things that makes things a bit more to your liking if the vanilla game feels like it needs something.
