you can setup quiet neat grids only with tier 1... not effective... but the energy you save with this 4 tiles can be invested in something else...
tbh... they are not worth the materials... but the time saving speaks for it self.
ALSO if you haven't upgraded your tools, you might not know: upgraded tools have an alternative output. This makes it sooooo much easier to conserve both energy and water. For Example:The watering can is abe to water multiple tiles at once as you upgrade it; 3 for copper, 5 for iron, 6 for gold, and I'm not quite sure yet how many for iridium, but I believe it is 10 tiles.
So getting an iron watering can is actually more useful than crafting a tier 1 sprinkler.
Lastly, if you are getting frustrated about the effort it takes, don't forget you can cook and craft foods that will increase your energy.
With that said, you should only get so many of them. You will be able to upgrade to T2 very quickly, T3 isn't very far either.
You hold the use button to "charge" the watering can and hoe.
Default: No charge, just water/till the tile in front of you
Copper upgrade: Water/till a 1x3 line
Iron upgrade: Water/till a 1x5 line
Gold upgrade: Water/till a 3x3 area
Iridium upgrade: Water/till a 3x6 area
You don't save much (if any) stamina, but it does save time.
One run, I didn't get to level 80 in the mines until late Summer, so those tier 1 sprinklers were a huge help with my hops and blueberries.
On other runs, I might make a few, then either toss them in the trash or use them for watering a line of hops later.
In some runs, you get to level 80 of the mines in Spring and never even consider the tier 1 sprinklers lol
First off, each one is 4 spots you don't have to water. In the first spring and summer, when your energy and skills are still low, that's still time and energy that you save.
Later on, I personally use them for the Trellis plants (Beans, Hops and Grapes).
Yes, the t2 sprinklers are better, but (depending on your available resources and needs) the t1's have their place.
