Shane 10 Heart Event Conflicting With Ice Festival

It's the Festival of Ice and Shane came to ask me to the ball game and meet him at 5pm at the bus station, but I know I can't if I go to the festival. It's year one in my new game and I have never had this happen!

If I go to the Ice Festival, will the 10 heart event trigger the next morning (for sure!) or do I have to miss the Ice Festival?

Heart events can be seen any day after you've completed requirements, so Shane's 10-heart event will be available until you've seen it, so you can see it the day after the Ice Festival :)
