Mac Help! How to select a single item from a stack on a mac

How do I select a single item from a stack in my chest? I am on a Mac laptop and so the rightclick thing doesn't seem to work since there is only one click option on the trackpad. I have tried holding down virtually every key and clicking a stack with no luck. How do I select just one item? Thanks

Maybe look under settings.

try changing the controls in the settings so that instead of right-click you have to press something on the keyboard (for example, i have SpaceBar as the left click). This should work.

Other than that, I suggest getting a mouse.

I have changed the check/do action selection to several different things - none of them seem to work. In the settings menu it shows "check/do action: right click, spacebar" I am able to change the spacebar selection to anykey but the rightclick part of the text still remains. Any other workaround ideas? Thanks for the responses so far.

Probably the best solution. I've tried playing with the trackpad and with a controller, but a mouse is probably the smoothest way to play.

Check your system preferences for trackpad on mine "alternative click" is set to two finger click. It works in the game the same as right click

Better late than never, I'm a new player on Mac myself and actually fond this solution by accident. All you have to do is press the touchpad with two fingers on the item for one item in the stack or press + hold with two fingers until you get the exact amount you need!

This is exactly what I needed. It works perfectly.
