Heart events & the blue chicken

I recently found out that in order for you to get the blue chicken you don't have to marry Shane, but have to have seen his eight heart event. I have two games, one is new and I am just building up my friendship points with Shane, so not a problem. My first game I am in year four, and am married to Sebastian. I have Shane at ten hearts and recently he took me to some grid game (and yes, kissed me, a married woman).

The thing is I don't remember seeing the two seven heart events or the eight heart events. Can these be done out of order? Another question, if I see the ten heart event and not the two seven heart and one eight heart events, can I have a chance of getting a blue chicken?

I am going to try and backtrack and see if I can see the missed heart events, but wondered if someone knew.

You should be able to trigger Shane's heart events out of order.

If it's required for you to do them in order, no. Otherwise, it should be fine.

I think you need to trigger up to Shane's 8-heart events, one of which requires you visit the forest at night, one which requires you visit the forest while it's raining.

I've answered my own question. Apparently you don't need to see the eight heart event to get the blue chicken as I haven't seen it, but I did see the ten heart event. I have been buying chickens, and finally got a blue one! Ta daaaa!
