Do you get less from selling to shop?

If I sell to shop to get gold right away, do you get less of it or is it the same as dumping it in the bin for overnight?

You just have to decide, do you want Lewis to process that tree sap and broken glass, or Pierre? Do you want Lewis to have to haul 999 bottles of wine, or Pierre?

You receive the same payout, but selling to the shop gets you your money right away as opposed to overnight. In the early game especially, that's a boon seeing as you can then buy and immediately plant more seeds without losing a day.

yeah, selling to shops gets the money that day, but takes a bit longer as, different shops buy different things. fish= willy=beach mining=clint=blacksmith veggie/fruit=pierre= town grocery. rings/swords/boots/mallet=forgot his name= adventures guild(next to mines)

Selling to shops gives you the same money now, but it doesn't count towards the collection tab or achievements, so be aware of that if you've got 15 pumpkins in your inventory that you were wanting to put towards the polyculture acheivement.

does Clint actually buy stuff? I've never been able to sell gems back to him when cracking geodes. Everything in my inventory grays out in his shop window... sorry this question is a bit off topic, but same realm ;)

o.O Clint buys gems and minerals from geodes. And ores and bars. That's really weird that he doesn't for you. Do you have any mods that might affect mining/shops?

No, I play vanilla... thinking maybe I just wasn't paying attention the first few times, then stopped trying to sell to him... I'll have to check next time I play
*edit: Ah, I see what my mistake was, he doesn't buy stone or clay, so I guess I thought that meant he didn't buy anything... hooray! no more running back to my farm to drop off an inventory full of gems, then racing back to clint's to crack open more geodes

I only sell in the store if I'm running through town and need the room in my backpack, or if I need the money right away.
