Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley

Vezi statistici:
Why oh why did I pick a river farm?
Because I'd never played before and didn't know any better. UGH.

Now that I'm in year 3, it's horribly cramped, impossible to get around, and it's telling me weeds are spreading but there's absolutely no room whatsoever for fences, anywhere. I'm choked for land, and I haven't done any fishing in 6 months because it's irrelevant for anything other than artifact farming.

But it's pretty! And I can fill my can everywhere!

*grumble*

You can gather up all your furniture and farm equipment and then manually switch the farm to normal. Just be sure to clear the areas where the two ponds are, move buildings to non-conflicting spaces, and it should go flawlessly.

Back up your save if you actually try this, it's rather risky without a backup.
What dino said; you can alter your save file to change your farm type, but make sure to get all your stuff first. And buildings may mess it up, so the less you have the better... or at least move them somewhere where the two maps overlap.

As for the "weeds are spreading" thing, that's easily fixed. That's referencing the logs, bushes and rocks that appear on your farm. If you put flooring down on every inch of land, or cover it in grass, no more should spawn... until winter, when the grass dies. Just get rid of every rock, log and bush.

I'll try it, since I'm desperate.

I have so many barrels, though. I'm a bootlegger of epic proportion, I have 3 sheds full of ale and a basement of starfruit wine maturing! I don't think they'll all fit. And that's not counting stuff like, furnaces and other things. Gonna have to wait until winter, then, since it's summer. Need the hop production to go interrupted. :/

You don't have to uproot everything - just check on the normal farm map where water/land will conflict with what you have down on the river map, which will not be much as it's fairly open. And you can keep the cellar and the sheds, just move them to a place that, again, is open space on the normal farm.

I've heard the River farm described as "Hardmode" and I think I agree. It does force a player to be a bit more careful in planning their layouts and end strategy. If you want to try a challenge game latter on that doesn't focus on farming, it can be a decent choice.

But yeah, aside from being pretty it doesn't offer much over the standard farm.
