Make sure you back up first because I haven't verified
having done a lot of sprite editing in the past myself, I can tell ConcernedApe used Chrono Trigger sprites as models. You should be fine using something like Jasc Animation Shop and importing SNES sprites from CT and editing them that way. Save yourself some time by doing the frames in photoshop (a superior, easier editing tool) and then importing them to Animation Shop.
